Basket O’Puppies on the Sward
Cuteness alert! This basket of deliveries these Yorkies to their first experience with grass. Sward is a noun that descends from Old English, sweard or swearth for skin or rind. The word originally referred to skin, especially bacon or rind. Around the 1400s the word was coopted to mean a ground covered with grass.
Placed onto the sward, this adorable basket of puppies look excitedly at the turf around them. One intrepid puppy is the first to struggle out of the basket to explored the sward. One by one, the rest of the Yorkies make their way onto the grass. Deciding that the sward is a fun thing to play on, the puppies become adventurous, running and playing all around the lawn.
